For flora and flower enthusiasts, the Cape provides some of the most spectacular and varied plant life to be seen in the world. Tours from 2-14 days can be arranged.

Fynbos is the major vegetation type of the small botanical region known as the Cape Floral Kingdom, which is the smallest but richest floral kingdom in the world. The Cape Peninsula is home to some 2250 different plant species - more than occur in all of Great Britain. Over 7700 plant species are found in this biome, with some 70% of species endemic to the area.

Fynbos covers the magnificent mountains, valleys and coastal plains of the southern and south-western Cape.

We visit the transitional zone where the Fynbos ends and where the desert area of Namaqualand begins. In springtime, Namaqualand is transformed into a kaleidoscope of brilliant colour of spring annuals. We spend time in the areas where flowers are at their best and visit the Namaqua National Park.
