A variety of tours for gastronomes and wine lovers is available in the Cape – regarded as the epicurean capital of Africa. Shorter tours give a delicious sampling of local wine and food, while more specialised 5-day tours include visits to some of our finest restaurants and wine farms, combined with extensive sightseeing en route.

Visitors can, for instance, enjoy the delights of the historic Constantia Valley, famed for its classic dessert wine, Vin de Constance, once enjoyed by the European royal houses of the 18th Century. The towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschhoek in the Cape’s Boland Wine Region are renowned for their superb restaurants and wine estates – many, in idyllic settings.

We have an opportunity to meet some of the area’s top local chefs and winemakers as we meander through enchanting valleys, historic homesteads and quaint towns. For those on longer tours, there are intimate wine tastings at famed estates such as Meerlust and dining at internationally fêted restaurants, such as Terrior, Le Quartier Francaise and La Colombe.

We also visit local seafood restaurants tucked away on the spectacular coastline and sample wines made in the unique wine-growing terroirs of the beautiful Cape Fold Mountains.
