Join David Rogers, a superb photographer with a passion for floral images, on a journey of a lifetime in the spectacular region north of Cape Town, known as Namaqualand. Leave the city for the West Coast National Park, spending time in the Posberg section of the park that only opens in the springtime. See flowering annuals at their best, with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop. Journey north to visit Garies, Kamieskroon, the Namaqua National Park and Springbok where the flowers are most prolific. We meet locals and spend time with people who have intimate knowledge of the flora of the area. Davids photographic philosophy is to have fun and take great pictures. Early wake-ups are essential to catch the best light as we explore this arid region that explodes into a spectacular carpet of blooms between August and September each year. David provides a mixture of practical and theoretical knowledge and every evening is spent looking and learning about the days photography. ![]() |
