This incredible tour showcases the work being done by the Cape Leopard Trust, and its founders, Quinton and Nicol Martin of the University of Cape Town. The elusive Cape Leopard has been hunted and forced out of much of the areas in which it previously occurred. This programme is researching such concepts as leopard-farmer conflict and leopard population dynamics, all aimed at preserving the area’s apex predator. Guests will be involved in the ongoing research programme, and will stay in an exclusive camp offering simple accommodation and the authentic lifestyle of the shepherds who lived in this stark, serene and wild place. |
