FAMILY SURFING - FULL DAYTour Code: FF03 Drive down the peninsula to Surfers Corner on the famous Muizenberg beach, where we meet our surfing instructors. Muizenberg is known for its gentle sloping white beach with a great, friendly swell for beginners learning to surf. The waves are consistent making it conducive to learning the art of surfing quickly and safely. Trained instructors lead you through the finer points of surfing and all beginners are taught on long-boards and may advance to Mini Malibu's or short-boards once they have mastered the basic skills. After a morning in the waves we drive to Kalk Bay where we stop for a well earned lunch of fish and chips at the harbor. After lunch board the water taxi for a spectacular boat ride from the Kalk Bay jetty. We cruise along the coastline passing Fish Hoek and along the beach taking in the views of the mountains as we look for dolphins and whales as they return to our coastline between June & November each year. We meet up with our guide and drive to Boulders Beach where we spend time with the delightful African Penguins amongst the granite boulders. Return to the city in the late afternoon. |
